    I need to add a custom logo to the bottom of my page for a link to a website that we use as a fundraiser. I am not sure where to paste the coding in the text. It needs to go on my home page.
    Website: http://longreachptsa.org/

    The logo is for GoodSearch/GoodShop. Here is the code:

    <img src="http://www.goodsearch.com/_gfx/goodsearch_200x40.jpg" width="200" height="40" alt="GoodSearch: You Search...We Give!" border="0">

    For this change, you must first have a Child Theme.

    Is that required for any theme? Should I set up a child theme before proceding to any of the other themes

    PS. Once I change over to the child theme, what do I do and will it show up on the theme that I chose?

    For any theme you're planning to make changes to the theme's files, yes it's advised to.

    PS. Once I change over to the child theme, what do I do and will it show up on the theme that I chose?

    Have you activated your theme in the dashboard?

    Not yet. I was waiting for a response, before I did. Will do it now

    Do I just do a search "Child Themes" to find them?

    Is the Child Theme you made not visible within the Appearance > Themes section of the dashboard?

    I am not sure what you are asking me. I haven't set up the Child Theme yet. I am not sure which themes are Child? Does it say it in the description or do I do a search for them? My apologies for the ignorance, but this is all new to me.

    This guide should explain what child themes are http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
