   How can I add a featured content area on the 2010 theme, just below the navigation menu aqs shown in this image:

   I'm pretty sure this is a css issue but I do not know enough about css to even try this.

   Thesis has a featured content box like what is shown here: http://socialtriggers.com/ with the grey background, but I'm wondering if I can add a similar 'box' to my 2010 theme that goes the full width of the 940px theme.
