How to add a container to home page?

    I have WPdeals and the Tokokoo Dealicious WP theme for one of my sites.
    I need to add a full-width container to my site’s homepage in order to insert short code for a full-width slider I made using CodeCanyon’s responsive Layer Slider.
    I want the slider to sit below the header menu, but above all other content, including the sidebar widgets.
    Does anyone know how to do this?
