My blog can receive trackbacks from other blogs, they end up in my askimet spamfilter. But if I link to another blog in one of my articles no automatic ping is sent. Also if I manually add a trackback address it is not sent.
In my settings > discussions I applied the following options;
Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the article (slows down posting.)
Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)
Allow people to post comments on the article
Also in my posts at 'comments and pings' I applied;
Allow Comments
Allow Pings
I suspect that the code for the outgoing pings and trackbacks is not in my wordpress. I would not have any clue in which part I sould look (single post.php or comments.php for instance) or for which piece of code I should look.
