• I have a unique situation. My client setup their site with Wix.com (which sucks), and I have no access to any FTP. I was not the original person that was working on the site, so I myself did not setup WordPress. I want to transfer the site to a new domain, but I don’t want to lose all of the work I’ve done to the theme. I figured I need to access the FTP files to paste onto the new WordPress setup…So my question is, how can i do this? Do I need to setup a MySQL DB and get access from the original creator of WP? There has to be some way I could access my data.

    Thank you!

Your client can ask the website’s hosting providers for the FTP credentials. You can’t really do anything without them.

If you have admin privileges on that WP site you could install a backup plugin like BackUpWordPress to download the files and database.
