how sync content between local and productions sites? (4 posts)

My theme is fixed. But I keep adding to my content. I often have the opportunity to work offline. I need an efficient, streamlined way to get my new content online. One way I know is to do my writing in my local installation and then copy the resulting html into my live installation. I would like something with less opportunities to forget to update the live installation.

A related question is that I am in the habit of writing new material in MS Word. Then getting that material over into wordpress is a pain, especially if there are lots of bullet points and tables. The best approach I've been able to come up with is to go from Word to Dreamweaver, hit the clean up word button, and copy the html over into the html view of wordpress. Not ideal.

    Any suggestions?

And I should add, in relation to the first paragraph: When I have the opportunity to update my live site, then I find it onerous to have to remember, and take the time, to copy the finished or partial product over to my local site. But if I then go and work on the local site without having updated in yet, I'm in trouble.

Another clarification (why can't I edit my original post?!):

When I said 'fixed,' I didn't mean that it used to be broken, I meant that it's not going to change.
