  • It may not be your speed, strictly speaking. Post too fast, and bbpress usually gives you a nice little pop-up that says something like: “Slow down; you move too fast!”, or something of the sort. Your account is still fairly new, so maybe something in the anti-spam algorithm is causing it to look at your posts with one “squinty” eye for a while.

My account has been deemed spam, regardless of post speed. This needs fixing.

It’s probably not a real big deal. I’ve been a member for quite a while, and I just had a reply go to the spam queue a few minutes ago (at least I think that’s what happened to it) probably because I used a “boiler plate” type of reply that I’ve used frequently for that particular type of question. I would guess that due to the nature of some of the spam that gets posted in the forums, there may be a sensitivity to “cut and paste” types of answers at times.

Either that, or now I’m a spammer too.. Haha! 🙂

It’s annoying because our posts don’t show up until a moderator classes it non-spam.

At the moment there isn’t a moderator in the themes forum (judging by inactivity of posts), so my comments have been hidden for a while.

@claytonjames? You? A spammer? Never, nneeevvverrr. No really, you’re doing fine. 🙂

@anevins Actually moderators get a view of the whole works. All the forums, the spam queue, etc.

Here’s the thing: a few days ago you’d replied to a request for help in a, shall we say, impolite way. A Youtube video link followed by an unflattering character reference (name calling).

This behavior got your account flagged as that is not tolerated. That’s why a moderator has to approve all of your posts. This is not a personal or malicious thing, everyone has to be civil to each other.

Except for an occasional terse reply, you’ve not had a repeat of that. You’ve been helpful and yes, helping people (nicely) is a cool thing to do. So I’m going to un-flag your account. Please maintain a civil attitude towards other members and you’ll be fine.
