    HI everyone,

I just bought a domain name to transfer my blog to and I need to purchase mysql add on.
They offer 150mb and 300mb mysql database.

    Would 150mb be sufficient?

Also I have no experience with mysql or anything like that. Am I going to struggle to host my blog? I know mysql is needed but can I simply install it and forget about it?

Unless you're amazingly prolific, 150MB will hold you for a very long time. My "main" blog has about a year of fairly frequent posts (avg'ing not quite 2 a day) and a decent amount of comments. It's not even 3MB yet.

Damn I closed this as resolved but forgot to ask something.

If I do host my blog elsewhere, do I still have access to the normal wordpress dashboard and the features like tag surfer and comments list?
