How long does upgrade take?

    I deleted my 1.2 install (that made me nervous), uploaded the new files, and went to the wp-admin page and clicked upgrade.

    Now, it’s been spinning for five minutes. I know the page tells me to be patient, but how long should I let it spin?

    The time it takes to run the upgrade.php script should be no more than 30 seconds. In most cases, if everything worked properly, it returns almost immediately.

    If it’s been running for 5 minutes or so, it’s probably stuck in some loop somewhere..

    I think everything is fine. The script never returned, but the update appears to be installed. I just hope the installation was complete.
