   Is there someway to get an email with a link when I get a forum reply to a post I make? Thanks, Dave

   Hi, Dave.
   I'm not sure about email notifications, (haven't seen that option yet) but you can however, pull the RSS feed for your thread into your browser or feed reader. There is a link just to the right ("RSS feed for this topic") that should let you pull the feed and monitor any responses whenever you are online.

   Codeslinger: are you asking for an email when somebody writes a comment to a post?
   That is in the Dashboard under Settings/Discussion, just a tick. You set your email-adress under Settings/General

   Thanks henkholland but no, I'm wanting an email when someone posts to THIS forum in a thread I'm interested in or have posted to. Is THAT possible? Thanks!

   Not email but I found the "Recent Replies" section in my profile so I can at least see there if any replies were made in response to any of my forum posts which helps.

   I get it, and you can add topics to a favourites list and then through profile view this favoutires list (it has a bette rlayout than the Recent Replies under Profile, showing clearer the freshness off the topic.)

   I wish WP forums would add an email alert but at least this is a decent workaround. I'm hoping there is a plugin I can use in my own forum when I get it setup. Have not investigated that yet...

   AND (reading is an art, for me too) under Favourites you can find an RSS feed which pulls recent replies to the topics you specify.

    Getting email notification is a standard in Forums. I can't understand why WordPress doesn't implement this basic feature. I honestly can't frequently keep going back to my Favorites or RSS to check that I get response to my posts... especially when I'm in a busy schedule. It's not efficient at all.
