    commercial themes are not supported here. Genesis is supported at studiopress.com

    you may modify single.php file of your theme to do this.

    Warning: Missing required field “updated“ generally means Google Snippet cannot find date it was published or last updated.
    “<?php the_date();?>”
    and replace it with
    <div class=”date updated”>
    Published on <?php the_time(‘F S, Y’); ?>

    this generally solves the problem,

    We do not support commercial themes here as you paid for support when you bought the theme. It is not our place to keep theme vendors in business or deprive them of any income that they may derive from support services.

    I have determined how this is fixed after doing a bit of digging in my code. I was surprised to not find the answer I was looking for on Google.

    Anyway, I have explained how to fix this on my blog. Let me know how it works for you guys.

    Just a heads up for anyone adding this code...sometimes the <div> tag will change formatting on your theme like in my case where it actually moved the date down to the next line. If this happens with your theme, you can replace the <div> tag with a <span> tag.
