How does WordPress dashboard refer people? (9 posts)

I'm pretty new to WordPress, and happy about the traffic which seems to come from "WordPress Dashboard". But I have no idea what that means. Is there a dashboard somewhere where people find my site? Are my fellow bloggers accessing my dashboard? Is there something I could do to improve this flow of traffic?

Any help solving this mystery is greatly appreciated! / Ulf

The blog is about swedish oral storytelling, it has quite a lot of text imported from an old site.

No. They're finding your site using the usual methods ie Google etc.

    No

Thanks a lot! But yesterday I seem to have had 55 referrers from the mystery dashboard, and only 25 search engine hits. I'm using the WordPress.com Stats 1.8.1 from Automattic. Here is an image of the referrer stats.

I'm not sure what you think the problem is...

Well it isn't a problem like "why isn't my site working". It's more a problem located in my brain ;-) For a very specialized site in an obscure language, 55 referrers is a lot! So I really want to understand where they come from. The page for the plugin is of no help here.

Does your hosting account provide access to traffic stats or logs? You could try analysing these to find out who/what is referring visitors to your site.

Good idea! Then I could compare the stats. I'll try that. Thanks!
