[resolved] How Do You Search for Themes on WordPress.org? (3 posts)

When I research themes to check whether they're on WordPress.org, I use the search bar on http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/. It seems this search is inaccurate. What would I do to find whether the theme exists, accurately?

  2. Do you know the name? Or the theme slug?

    I just do wordpress.org/extend/theme/theme-slug :)

Don't know if this is relevant, Andrew, but one thing I've noticed is that if a theme has not been updated in over two years (and thus has the warning banner on it in the repository), it won't show up at all using the theme name in the theme search box. But if you do a Google search for "themename wp theme" it will often find the repository theme page with the warning banner. (Hope that makes sense...)
