I have over 150 blogs in my network and sometimes I need to put one into maintenance mode to work on it while leaving the other ones active. WPMS Site Maintenance Mode Plugin doesn’t work for me because there isn’t an option to put individual blogs into maintenance mode.

Does anyone know of any other maintenance mode plugins that will work with WPMS for individual blogs? I’ve tried searching, installing, testing, failing and uninstalling plugins for the past several days. I’m asking here as a last resort.

  • “while leaving the other ones active”

I use a couple of options, neither of which is strictly speaking “maintenance mode.”

One option that is already there is to merely deactivate the individual site. A SuperAdmin when logged in still sees it as normal so you can tinker away, while guests get a “deactivated blog message”: Network Admin->Sites

Second, I use this plugin to enable and disable individual sites from prying eyes:

    Thank you David… I don’t know how I overlooked such a simple solution…

    I’ll check out the plugin also… thanks again… 🙂
