As part of my navigation I'd like to do two things. First, a list of the five newest posts in a certain category, followed by their subcategory in brackets. Second, I'd like to list the top five most popular (by whatever rating method, perhaps rated by comments) posts in a category; followed by a link saying like ("24 more...") linking to the category page.
Can anyone recommend code or a plugin which will do this easily?
