   So, I am new to this. I am creating an actual website from wordpress and I uploaded a template (theme) i purchased. It is supposed to have all of these cool features to turn the main page (frontpage) into a portal, but all it is showing me is the blog.

   I may have accidentally erased the orignial main page yesterday when fiddling with it, but the problem remains. How can I get to my main page to edit it?

   I'd suggest asking the site that sold you the theme.
