I don't know if it changes from one theme to another but I was wondering how I can change the text on my site. Here's my site.

On a side note, would anyone happen to know how I change the colors where the catagories, archive, and blogroll are located?

every theme comes with a style.css

a theme's style.css typically dictates what colors, etc..

so, to answer your question, you get aquainted with your theme's style.css and you make changes in it according to what you want to change.

    Here's some good reading:

Are you sure? because I've changed a few colors and nothing happens and then there's the colors with a code of only 3 digits instead of 6. And would I be looking for the theme's name or the actual word "background"?

    "are you sure" about what?

    3 digits = shorthand for 6, e.g. #fff is the same as #ffffff

I don't understand your last question...
Every theme folder has it's own stylesheet and it is always called style.css. You have to edit the stle.css of theme you are using!
Almost everything can have a background.

the way css works is some styles are inherited and the latest code overides the previous code. i have two style sheets going because one of my widgets comes with a css.style to match my theme. as a result i have to do double the work to see results at times.

Oh... I never knew that. I'm getting the hang of it now, it's just kind of hard with so many words and numbers.

So FFCC33 would be FC3? What about codes like 3F3F3F or 97973F? Is there a shorthand for those or would i just put in the full six digits?

    (total noob here, thanks!)
