Register Plus Redux
[resolved] How do you change the email of the admin? (5 posts)

I've changed it in my users as well as in Settings > General but the email still gets sent to my "admin@brendananimates.com" email which I never use.

Since I changed it in those two locations - I now get an email at that address saying "Relaying not permitted"

How do I allow relaying? Or how do I change this so I dont even run into that problem?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I can't say, Register Plus Redux uses the WordPress option, admin_email to determine where to send emails to. Are you running on WordPress Multisite?

    Hmmm. No I'm not. Lame.

Youre not sure how to change admin_email? Or where in WP it would be (which php file) or anything? This is going to be an issue for future projects as well, I can see it :)

Unfortunately, I know exactly where it is set, Settings > General. I've tried it out by changing my own "E-mail Address" to another of my personal email addresses and when I registered a new user to test, I received my admin email at the specified address. So the problem is that I don't know why yours isn't working likewise. I once had another user with the same problem, but it seems to be a pretty rare thing.

brendan, have you had any success altering your administrator email? I was thinking to prove out Register Plus Redux, you could deactivate the plugin and register a user. I believe the email will still go the same, wrong, email address.
