Hi Esmi,
Thanks for the reply. Yeah that’s certainly something I’ve considered, but my website is primarily a portfolio site and I’ve settled on Gridlocked as the best portfolio theme for my needs. To use another theme would screw up everything else on my site.
I want a blog on there too, but instead of a traditional blog layout (a vertical strip with the most recent blog entry on the top), it’s laying all the blog entries out in a haphazard grid system. Based on the sheer volume of options available on the Dashboard, I thought it would have been a no-brainer to offer alternative layouts for the blog, but I’ve trawled the Gridlocked and WordPress options over and over and can’t find it.
I was hoping there would be a plugin that would offer me more options, but I can’t locate one.
Andy
Change the stylesheet (style.css) or/and the template files of gridlocked to change the style and layout. Mastering css has a very steep learning curve, same with WordPress template files and php. The easy option is to try a new theme. There are a a lot of themes out there: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/
Hi Keesiemeijer,
thanks for the advice – I’ll look into it.
Andy

Do you wan’t the Grid setup, or?
Daniel
Hi Daniel,
No – in the end I kept my old blog, changed it’s style to match the site and just put a link to it in the main menu:

It’s not perfect, but it’ll do.
