How do I store all custom templates in special folder? (1 post)

I'm running a total of 4 sites. Two of these sites share the same theme which is a twenty ten copy that I've made some changes to. All and all, I'm very satisfied with the results, but one thing bothers me.

I have so many custom post types, and I've created 3 different templates for each of my CPT's. When my second site will be released some time this fall, another 5 or so CPT's will have their 3 custom made templates.

All of the templates are needed for display and for taxonomies etc.

My problem is, that I'd like to have a better order in my theme folder. Therefor I'm wondering if it's possible to perhaps put all of my custom template files in a special folder, and somehow call for them, so that it looks a lot better in my theme folder.

I've read about what it is that I'm trying to explain here (although I'm not quite sure if it is that) here .

I don't know which kind of code that could help me with this. I guess get_template_file or whatever the code was could work, but I'm not so sure how to use it.

Do I call for the file(s) in every custom template, or will the page-cpt.php be enough?

    Thanks a bunch!
