   Greetings,
   I am trying to have the featured image just to show on homepage and not the top of every post on every post page. i did a little research and nothing is helping with my issue. Anybody have a clue?

   I just found this post because I have exactly the same question. Can anyone help?

   Here's the site I'm working on: http://sharynlightfoot.com

   The problem is that the code automatically makes the square thumbnails for the site's front page, but they're distorted, which is a problem for an artist's site. But when I generate my own square thumbnail to use as a featured image, it does show up on top of the post.

   Thanks so much for pointing me to that thread. I tried the fix and made it work through absolutely no skill of my own!
