   but not for images overall and in pages?

   If I change the css post img in style.css then all images get changed.
   I have tried that

   Also how can I specify this for a pageofposts, a special page template?

   You'd need to add unique post content classes to your index.php and single.php templates and than use those classes to restyle the post images using CSS.

   Ditto with a pageofposts custom template.
