I know it's probably simple, but none of my blogs default with the comment form showing. How do I turn it on to show under all posts?

When you go to a post, you should see a check box at the bottom for allow comments.. Oddly this is normally checked by default.
What ver_ wordpress are you running?
I'm using 2.7
I see the checkbox and it's enabled. This puts text link at the bottom of my post allowing comments, but I want to show the comment form by default. The form would be more obvious and encourage more comments.
Its possible its the theme, change to the default theme and see if the problem persists.
I tried the default theme, but it is the same. Also, I have several sites, each with different themes and they are all the same. No comment form.
Ran 3 installs in my test environment from 2.7.1, not having this problem.
Go to /wp-admin/options-discussion.php and make sure the ' Allow people to post comments on the article' is checked.. ?
Which pages are you talking about? The blog's index and/or category pages or the single post page?
The problem is on any page, but mostly I'm concerned about my main page that shows all the recent posts.
The "allow posts" is checked and people CAN leave posts - if they click on the text link at the bottom of the post. What I want is for the comment form to appear by default, without having to go to it.
Here's a couple sites of mine:
The comment form only appears on a single post page. So, although there's no comment form displayed for the first post on http://www.sudokook.com/, if you click the post's title and go to http://www.sudokook.com/simple-trick-solve-sudoku-part-2/, the comment form is there at the bottom of the page.
Thanks, that helps, but is there a way to get it to appear on the front page?
