   Originally, on WordPress.com, I was able to allow my blog to be posted on my facebook, twitter, and linkedin accounts. Is there a way to do that with the WordPress.org version?

   Yes, do this:

   1. Get Twitter Tools, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twitter-tools/
   2. Install it and configure it.

   3. go to http://apps.facebook.com/twitter/ and get the twitter facebook app and configure it. This way your blog will update your twitter, which will update the facebook.

   i am having trouble with adding the twitter tool. It is asking for several things that i have no idea what it is talking about like consumer tool, consumer secret, access token etc.. any help on what these are?

   Hey guys, please consider actually trying SharePress (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sharepress). @websta's solution does work, but it's far from ideal. SharePress Pro already has some great features, but in the coming months we're going to be rolling out version 3 (the third major release since last August), and you're going to love it.
