I've been modifying the Whitespace theme as I learn how to use WP.
The current item I am trying to figure out is how to set a background for each portion of the page. So the overall background I would like to be grey, but the content areas I would like to be white (the l_sidebar, r_sidebar, main center content area). Right now it inherits the body background so it looks Piet Mondrainish - ack! I have put a background color in each section of the code, but it only makes the background white for minimum amount of area then inherits the grey. Hopefully that makes sense...
I'm wondering how to change the theme so as the sizes change in the sidebars and main content areas, the "space" (I don't even know what to call it) will still remain white. I would like not to have a set height for an area as I would like the overall height of a page to depend on the content.
The site I am playing with is criticalgolf.com
Any thoughts would be great...
