I now activated the plugin and added some css selectors... but how do I see if I've done it right? Is there no onclick-code being added to my links?

The best way is to ensure your code is working is to turn on Debug Mode in the main settings panel. Doing so will add CSS classes to the links being tracked. You can observe these with Selector Gadget, Firebug (in Firefox), or Web Inspector (in Chrome & Safari). Additionally, if you are using Chrome/Safari/Firebug/IE Inspector, a console event will be recorded each time a tracked event occurs.
