How do I reset the permalinks?

My permalinks seem to have picked up my static home page and now my menus do not work because everything goes to the static page and the rest is ignored. The links below show the issue

http://blissbreakthrough.com/magdalenepath/?page_id=7/ is the static page

http://blissbreakthrough.com/magdalenepath/?page_id=7/about-the-author/ should connect to a page named “about the author” but the “?page_id=7” overrides.
