   I want to remove the widgets on the right side of my blog....

   how do i do it?

   I went to appearance ---> widgets

   and I dont see any widgets in the right "menus"

   then it gets more complicated and says this:
   "Drag widgets from here to a sidebar on the right to activate them. Drag widgets back here to deactivate them and delete their settings."

   how come removing widgets has to be so complicated? how do i remove these widgets on the right side of my site

   Many themes have 'default' widgets (they don't show in the widget admin area as they are not editable..what you do is add a new widget and the default ones go away (for that sidebar, etc).
