   I have set up my site with the home page directing to a static page. Because of this I permanently deleted the initial home page but it still appears as a link on the site that I can't get rid of.

   I can't edit the page to give it a parent page as it's deleted - I've tried re-installing wordpress but that didn't work.

   As the moment I have removed the title from the static page but the alignment is now out.

   I have tried editing the header and removing the following without any luck:

   <p id="title">/" title="Home"><?php bloginfo('name');

   Any ideas?
