Support » Plugins » How do I remove social icons from sidebar?

  • Hi all,

I’ve added a social icons plugin to the blog I’m putting together for a client. I’ve tried several different plugins (AddThis, SexyBookmarks, Sociable, Simple Social Sharing) and instructed each to attach the icons to posts only. Each time, as soon as I activate and configure the icons, they show up at the bottom of the post (which I want) and also in the sidebar (which I DON’T want). How do I remove the icons from the sidebar? Specifically, they are attaching themselves to the primary sidebar widget (as opposed to the secondary sidebar widget).

The blog in question can be viewed at: http://tjforrester.com/2010/09/29/testing/

Please note that we don’t want the icons to show up on pages, only posts. We have the landing page set to a static page (home). The blog owner keeps changing the blog to private as the site isn’t ready for prime time yet, but you should be able to hit the test post at the link above.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. I’ve been searching for answers most of the day and am getting nowhere.

    Rose
