How Do I Remove Posted By, ETC.? (6 posts)

    I would like to remove the

    Posted on by admin

    and

    This entry was posted in . Bookmark the permalink. Edit

    I tried adding the following to the style.css, below the last line, but it did not work.

    /* Remove posted-on*/
    article .posted-on,
    /*This entry was posted in . Bookmark the permalink. Edit*/
    article .entry-meta{
    display:none;

    }

    That was a good try and close, the problem is that there is no article element. So all you really need to use is:

    .entry-meta{
        display:none;
    }

    The best tool for picking out CSS selectors is Firebug -- an addon for Firefox browser so you might want to check it out.

    Thanks. That got rid of my stuff at the bottom of the post but at the top,

    is still there. Any ideas on that?

    if you only want to remove the "posted by" try this

    /* Remove posted-by */
    .vcard, .meta-sep,
    .posted-on {
    display:none;
    }

    in your child-theme
