Hi, I`m very new to this but slowly getting my head round it. I have a website.. and wish to remove the sidebars from this page . I have done many searches and come across a few ideas including creating a new template for that specific page but so far I have been unable to do so.. please can someone help, I need the sidebars gone from this page only so the info behind can be seen.
Many Thanks
Have you tried using a plugin such as widget logic - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/
Hi Christine, Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried it using
! is_page( 18 )
in the widget logic boxes and it seems to have removed the sidebars I created (ie, the text I entered, etc) but the default eDegree sidebars remain, as does the twitter/facebook links.. any other ideas?
Thanks
The page you are wanting to change is the home page right? And it displays the latest blog posts?
If that's the case, then it's not page 18. You need to specifically say that you don't want the sidebar to appear on the home page.
I don't know if widget logic has that capability.
I just noticed that on the theme designer's website, they have a support forum - http://www.topblogformula.com/support/
You might want to check that too. I was going to download the theme, but he/she wants a bunch of info.
