How do I Remove a Default Tag

Say you have added a tag for “Sugar-free Recipes” and then you wish to add a tag titled, “sugar free recipes”. I tried to add the new tag and it keeps defaulting to “Sugar-free Recipes”. How do I get the one I want?

I’m using Twenty Ten child theme.
