I've been on holidays and have come back to find all post pages and archives (date and categories) missing. The only thing still there is the index page.
Looking in wp-admin shows the posts are all there, but no pages are generated.
How do I regenerate them?
Missing, as in they generate an error message? Or give a blank? Is there a link to the troubled site?
If you're using hosted service, maybe there's problems with your permalinks? (.htaccess? Policy changes on the host?)
It's actually not quite clear what is happening from your post.

The links to category and date archives give 404 errors. Everything was working fine. Suddenly (I just noticed it after coming back from leave), all the links are broken.

Woops - link to the site is http://dogofwhine.com
I thought it might have been a theme-related problem, so applied the default theme, but it's still all broken links.
Try re-generating your permalinks in Options/Permalinks again. If that doesn't work, your hosting provider may have disabled mod_rewrite while you were away.

Thanks Macmanx, regenerating the permalinks worked a treat!
