Recently I realized that Google is indexing my RSS feeds. On my blog (http://blogjunkie.net), I have a link in my navigation menu pointing to the RSS feed.
First, I want to make sure that Google really is indexing my RSS feed. Don't want to be solving a non-existent problem after all.
The nav menu link points to my Feedburner feed. Since Feedburner redirects links, it looks like
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/blogjunkie...
but the result showing up in Google search leads to
http://blogjunkie.net/2011/06/get-around-dns-block-filter?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=get-around-dns-block-filter
You can see an example on this Google search results page:
http://www.google.com/search?q=What+is+a+DNS+block+and+3+ways+to+get+around+it
So is it really that Google is indexing Feedburner? How else would links from my RSS feed show up in the search results?
Second, I want to know how to fix it. I have the canonical URL specified in my pages but they're not working. I'd appreciate any ideas - thanks!
