   I have a client who has a domain and site hosted with Hosting Company A. I built her a new WordPress site with a new domain and hosting with Company B. The WP installation is in a non-root directory on Company B's site.

   So my question is how do I use htaccess on Hosting Company A server to point the current domain to the new site on Hosting Company B's server?

   Hi, you can read this post and this one to make an idea about how to use .htaccess for redirects but I think it would be best to contact Hosting Company A for assistance with this, you need to make sure that apache is configured correct for these redirects so they are the ones to configure apache ...
