• More than a year ago I downloaded WP just to take a look at it. Since then I have not used it. My question is: how do I open it? I do not have an icon on my desktop.

  • You need a web server to run WordPress. Unless you want to set up a local web server, you might be better off signing up for a free wordpress.com site so that you can evaluate WordPress.

My website is hosted by Network Solutions. They offer blog hosting for $3.85/mo. My understanding is that I can put a folder in my website for my blog and it should not cost anything. Is that correct? Thanks

If you have webhosting, you can run WP

Looking at google, that host may have a 1 clisk installer which will install WP for you

Looking at Windows Explorer, I find a WP folder that must be a result of me downloading it a year ago. Should I delete the folder and start with a new download?

    Yes.
