How do I move the site title? (7 posts)

    Can some one advise where (which PHP or CSS file) I should look to move the Site Title in the header further Down and to the Right.

    The site theme ( Biotodoma) has a fixed width of 1000px.

    I've looked in the header.php - I can see reference to h1 id="logo"
    which is where the name is displayed and the Hyperlink back home, but nothing for margins.

    A link to your site would help us to see what's going on and exactly what you mean.

    Generally speaking, you use CSS to locate elements. You certainly wouldn't see any reference to margins in an HTML/PHP file except for styles that need to go in a style attribute; but these are not common these days as they cause too much bloat and make maintenance difficult.

    in your style css line 199 look for

    #logo, #logo A:link, #logo A:visited, #logo A:hover, #logo A:active {
    color: #FFFFFF;
    font-family: Calibri,Verdana;
    font-size: 27pt;
    font-weight: bold;
    padding: 25px 0 0 5px;
    text-decoration: none;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    }

    padding: 25px 0 0 5px;

    change 25px to higher no. to move it down and 5px to higher no.to move to right

    so, the same question again, but this time how to I adjust the menu so it sits lower down the page.

    If I knew the #name of the menu then I could look for the same padding options.

    thanks

    I guess govpatel will give you the answer, so I'll not jump in, but just in general...

    The way I and many other people use to find the elements determining styles is to use Firebug. You might find it useful too.

    Cheers
