   (Excuse me if this a duplicate. I thought I created this topic before but I can't find it now & I did *not* get any email notices of responses.)

   I published a post which was assigned to the "uncategorized" category. I now want to move it to the category that it really belongs to. How do I do that?

   1. Edit the post
   2. Uncheck the "Uncategorized" box under "Categories"
   3. Check the appropriate box under "Categories"
   4. Save the post

   if you click on the small word 'Member' below your username, you get a list of all your topics and contributions.
   your older topic http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-do-i-move-posts-from-one-category-to-another-1?replies=2 got more or less the same answer.
