    just backing up my database before I do some work on my site, but the plugin is telling me that;

    Your backup folder MIGHT be visible to the public

    To correct this issue, move the .htaccess file from wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager to /home4/eversost/public_html/wp-content/backup-db

    how the blazes do I move files?

    Use FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
