[resolved] How do I make "/trackback/" appear in trackback url? (5 posts)

    I am running wordpress 2.02, widgets enabled. My trackback links do not show the proper address, but insted list a URL without the /trackback/ requisite ending.

    I have spent literally days tying to fix this and I keep reading that this is a bug with wordpress 2.0. Is that true? Is it something that will be fixed by wordpress or is there a fix I can make to have them work properly?

    Thanks in advance.

    Look in your theme, probably in single.php. Somewhere here is where the trackback url gets spit out. It should have a bit of code in there that looks like this:
    trackback_url(true)

    This is what outputs the trackback URL. Verify that is it there in your theme, somewhere.

    Verified. Here is the code:

    <?php trackback_url(true); ?>

    What is the URL that they show instead then? You'll only have the /trackback/ ending if you have non-default permalinks on. Otherwise it'll look like http://example.com/wp-trackback.php?p=ID_NUMBER_OF_THE_POST

    Thank you! It was as simple as that. Otto42 I owe you one. :-)
