    Hello,

I used your tip to insert an code to make the voting appear for images: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nextgen-gallery-voting/faq/

This worked fine untill the latest update of next gen gallery.
Inserting this code does no longer make the votings appear.

How can we make that happen again please?

    Thx!

The latest version of the plugin has database changes, that require the plugin's activation to run. I thought the automatic de-activation / re-activation when you updated the plugin would do that, but it turns out it doesn't.
You need to manually de-activate, and then re-activate the plugin. That should do it.

Let me know how that goes.

    Hello,

    Thx, that did the trick!
Now another problem occures, suddenly there are 10 stars instead of 5. In settings only 5 stars are set.
Any idea's on how to get rid of these 10 stars and go back to only 5?

    Thx!

Is there a link I can see? I can't imagine how that would happen. There are literally 5 <li>s in the markup that get rendered as the stars.
If you don't want the site public yet, you can email me the link to shaunalberts AT gmail DOT com

I only see 5 stars under each image. Perhaps you need a hard-refresh in your browser, just to make sure you don't have anything funny cached.
    What browser are you using?

    Hi,

Seems we get this only in IE ( Firefox, chrome show only 5 stars ) yet the votings are gone...

Refreshing and clearing cash does not work so far in IE...
Do you only see 5 stars even in IE?

    Thx!

I am on OSX, and don't have IE. What version(s) specifically are the problem?

Hmmm....I notice that clearing cache etc does not work in IE9 but voting one on every image does!! After giving each image one vote, the old votings show again and the second row stars is gone.

    Resolved but strange right?

    Thx!

I checked the link on IE9, and it looked fine to me. I haven't had any other complaints from users about any browser issues. Can I see a screenshot out of curiosity.

    Hello,

Too bad.....still a problem it seems.
There are indeed only 5 stars left now, but clicking on the stars to vote, now only opens the enlarged image and voting is impossible.

Pfff I am beginning to regret having done this update.
Can you help to fix this please, I really like the plugin when it works correctly.

    Thx,
    Annie

You have got the voting tag inside the <a> tag wrapping the image. It very clearly says the following in the FAQ, when talking about the vote tag:

Do not put inside the <a> tag that wraps the image in some of the templates, or the link will conflict with the voting process.

There is nothing to fix, the plugin works perfectly. Feel free to not use it if you want, it's not like you wasted any money on it.

    Hello Shauno,

You are right, somehow I have put the code inside the <a> tag after the update!!!

I did not mean to offend you in any way, the plugin is great, I overlooked time after time the fact that I put the code in the wong place.

    Thx for your help,
    Annie
