Basically
[resolved] How do I make the header taller? (11 posts)

    I want to make the header image taller, and i figured that part out. I am having an issue of moving all the page elements down as well so that my image doesn't overlap any of the elements. Is this possible to do?

    Petiteallie.com is my site. I don't have the bigger header back on there, if you want me to do it again so that you can see what I mean I am willing to do it.

    Yes, if you could reproduce the issue, we would be more likely to suggest solutions to resolve it.

    I have reproduced the issue. I have made the height of the header 351px

    You'll have to remove the height on this element;

    #custom-header

    I removed that code and it didn't seem to fix it.

    Sorry, I didn't mean literally remove code.
    Try adding this;

    #custom-header {
     height: auto;
    }

    Where are you adding that?

    Here is the code that I tweaked:

    <div id="custom-header">
    <?php $header_image = get_header_image();
    if ( ! empty( $header_image ) ) { ?>
    " title="<?php echo esc_attr( get_bloginfo( 'name', 'display' ) ); ?>" rel="home">
    <img src="<?php header_image(); ?>" width="<?php echo HEADER_IMAGE_WIDTH; ?>" height="auto" alt="<?php bloginfo( 'name' ); ?>">

    <?php } // end if ( ! empty( $header_image ) ) ?>
    </div> <!-- end #custom-header -->

    You can add new styles through a plugin that facilitates 'Custom CSS' functionality, like this http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-css-manager-plugin/ .
