[resolved] How do I make my theme writeable? (2 posts)

I see a msg that says: "If this file were writable you could edit it."

How do I enable theme editor to write to the files in my theme? Should I chmod the theme folder itself to 777 or just the individual header, footer, etc... files to 666?

It's kinda a bad idea to make your files writable though as if a script compromises your hosting, it could modify your theme.

The best thing to do is download, edit, and then upload.
