[resolved] How do I make a particular link in my blog post nofollow or dofollow without doing it manual (9 posts)

Hi, please I want to know how I can make some links I use as reference in my blog posts nofollow while I make other trusted site links in the same post dofollow without doing it manually.

When I was using blogger platform, the option is included in the "add link" editor tool making it possible for one to choose whether or not to follow any link you are adding to your blog post.

But in WordPress, I haven't seen such option, though I have been doing it manually but that is a difficult task you know.

So, how can I do this automatically on blog posts, comments, blogrolls, and pages of my blog site.

Remember, I want to decide on how to handle a particular link, I wouldn't want all my blog post links to be nofollow or dofollow, the same thing goes with comments and other pages.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi Ipstenu,
Thanks for your assistance. I'm kinda running into confusion with the number of plugins out that link.

I still couldn't figure out the perfect plugin to go with but I will give them try one after the other.

I will appreciate it the more if you have any particular plugin that will handle the task for me.

    Thanks.

    Try,

    1. HeadSpace Plugin or,

    2. Genesis theme framework

  4. You'll have to read the descriptions to see which allow you to pick and choose (and by home much). Generally it's an all or nothing thing.

@Shekhar, I use genesis framework and some other SEO plugins on my site , like WordPress SEO by yoast etc.

I hope the won't break my site.

Just don't use any other seo plugin then you will be able to use genesis seo options...

Hi Ipstenu, thanks a lot, I went through the list and have installed "Nofollow Home Internal Links" to block bots from following links on the homepage and "NoFollow Link" for optional nofollow a particular link in my post content. I can see the nofollow button in my editor tools bar.

    Thanks a lot.
