I have a hosted website, and on my index.html (home page) I want to link my blog button with the hosted version of wordpress (on same domain), but I am not sure which doc within the wordpress folder is the correct link to link to. Does anyone know?

If I understand your question correctly, you don't need to link to any doc (file) in your wordpress folder...just link to the folder (directory). If you do want to link to a file though, then link to the index.php file in the wordpress folder.

.......but when I load my website and hit my 'blog' button, it does not have a 'link' to get it to the wordpress page that I would expect to see. The one that my internet traffic would see, which I am assuming is the main interactive page, correct?
I did try linking to that doc but its just a text doc when I hit the link. As per your suggestion, in DW CS4, when I choose to link my 'blog' button, it does not give me the option to pick a folder (ie; the wordpress main folder.
