Hello!
I run a website that posts listings for local concerts and I'm switching from normal HTML to wordpress. Is there an easy way to make it so people can sign in to wordpress and post their own entries about their concerts to the front page of my site?
Do I have to make people admins or can I open it up to anyone that has an account?
Any information on the best way to do this would be appreciated!
Jonah
you can make people contributors or authors...depending how much you trust them

So the only way to do this is to have people that want to be a part of the site get in touch, then I add them to the admin panel?
users can sign themselves up if you have it set up as such from your admin panel
you just open up registration, then set the default membership level

Ah! Perfect! Where do I go to do that? Thanks for all your help!
log in to your admin panel
then its settings->general
check the box to let anyone register and select the default level from the dropdown...
good to go!

Hey Voodoo, another question, not sure if there's a good answer..
Since I'm listing concerts, is there anyway to have peoples listings go in order of subject rather then the date they are posted? I want them to appear organized by date..

Also, is there a way to set it so posts have no comments as a default?
