I am trying to use the plugin "get the image" for my site but it says I need to have The Loop inserted in my index.php file.
I have looked up information on the loop but I am still not sure exactly where to put the code and how to use it.
Please can someone tell me what code I need and where to put it.

Most likely, the specified bit of plugin code needs to go in your theme's index.php inside the loop (which should already be in there). Check with the plugin's website for more in-depth instructions on how to use it and see if there is support available.

There's a readme.html file included with the plugin that gives several examples and a complete Loop example.
