Hi,
I have a typepad blog (http://ourjourney.typepad.com/) that I would to migrate to WordPress. The blog has been going for a long time and I do not want to loose any posts or associated images. How do I do this?
I migrated another typepad blog to WP some time ago and promptly lost all the images. It took a heck of a long time to re-insert them all. I've used WP quite a bit and like it a lot better than Typepad, but if for this blog the images can;t automatically come accross I don't think I'll make the switch.
I appreciate any help you might be able to offer.
Looking for the same, I came across http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/5696/how-to-import-a-typepad-blog-including-all-media
The third answer (by Sahas Katta) seems to be addressing the topic by using a feature from the W3 Total Cache plugin. But I have not tested the method just yet.
Did you ever find a successful way? If so, please share :) but if not, you might want to give this a shot...
Right, media library import is a possibility if the images weren't imported through other means and the attachments are hosted on third party web sites.
