• Hi, I’m constructing my site, a rebuild, and somehow all my pages now have this comment box at the bottom. I don’t want or need any interaction with readers and would like to tidy the pages, how do I get rid of these boxes?
Is there a box under controls that says ‘allow comments’? I thought there was, but can’t find it anywhere.

I made a new page after editing some changes that I though would help and this new page does not have the comment boxes, and I wonder if my changes have fixed it. If that is the case, the problem now is that it didn’t fix them all globally. Would I have to remake all 50 pages from scratch to get rid of them?
uh oh, horrible thought. I made them all because I thought there was a tick box that would make it go away on all of them.

My site is Enfield Resource.com and I’m using 2010, an awesome theme.

    Example of problem page; http://www.enfieldresource.com/?page_id=24

    many thanks, Roger

  • edit one of the pages
click om Screen Options at top of page
    tick the comment box
    scroll to bottom of page
now you can disable comments on pages or posts
